Designed and developed with world champion alpine skier Aleksander Kilde, the Oakley ARC5 PRO MIPS helmet has excellent safety features to help you enjoy your downhill runs on the piste. This FIS-certified helmet features an outer shell of M-Forge composite, with an original design at the back that helps prevent the aggressive folded position from interfering with the neck and body. The MIPS system reduces rotational forces caused by impacts to the head from angles. The three-dimensional Polartec Power Grid lining, ventilated, absorbent, removable and washable, adapts to the contours of the skier’s head. Designed for optimal integration with Oakley goggles. Dual density foam added to the front and sides of the helmet, underneath the outer shell material. Designed to cushion the impact of the entrance if it touches the helmet. Fixed ventilation slots in the front of the helmet provide ventilation for the mask, and fixed ventilation slots in the top of the helmet help keep the skier cool.
Features:
– M-Forge compound technology is exceptional in any product that needs to protect against impact and in activities where minimising weight to the minimum possible provides a performance advantage
– The original design of the outer layer at the back allows for an aggressive folded position without interfering with the neck or body
Designed for optimal integration with Oakley goggles.
Dual density foam added to the front and sides of the helmet, underneath the outer shell material.

Technology:
– Polartec Power Grid
Polartec Power Grid fabrics are designed to keep skin dry with a knitted bi-component construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one which allows moisture to be removed from your skin and the other that promotes quick drying. These fabrics weigh less, take up less space and provide more insulation and breathability than most other materials in the same class.
– MIPS equipped
MIPS leads in the market for slip plane technology in the helmet’s interior which is designed to reduce any rotational impact from certain knocks. When the head rotates rapidly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause high levels of stress in the brain tissue. The tissue strain caused by these movements can result in various types of brain injuries. We believe that helmets equipped with MIPS technology can add the highest level of protection against certain types of impacts. MIPS uses a slip plane technology that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the same protection system that the brain uses. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the aim of potentially slowing or reducing the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science shows that if we can reduce the stress associated with rotational acceleration, we can reduce the risk and severity of brain damage.
